North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has said that his country needs to deliver a telling blow to those imposing sanctions, by ensuring its economy is more self-reliant.
In a statement in Seoul, he said, he will double the efforts to create a self-supporting national economy, so as to deal with the hostile forces who think of bringing North Korea to its knees.
He again signaled a continued focus on economic development, a strategic direction which he officially declared a priority last year.
