At least sixteen people were killed and several injured in a blast at Quetta's Hazarganji sabzi mandi on Friday morning, authorities said.
DIG Quetta Abdul Razaq Cheema confirmed sixteen people had died, while seven others were injured in the blast.
Buildings located nearby were also damaged in the blast, police said.
The injured were shifted to Bolan Medical Complex.
Security forces have cordoned off the site of the blast.
