Addressing a ceremony regarding completion of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) first 100 days in government at the Convention Centre Thursday, Foreign Minister hah Mahmood Qureshi said that their neighbour wanted to weaken Pakistan, adding that they could not present Pakistan’s case before the world because of absence of a lawyer.

The minister said that they decided to make their foreign office more interactive and started cultural diplomacy. When PTI was creating its manifesto, it was very clear that the enemies of Pakistan wanted it to go into isolation, said Qureshi.

“It is for peace that I decided to make my first foreign trip to Afghanistan,” he added.

Qureshi went on to say that he is going to make an advisory council with those patriotic people who may not be serving today but have brilliant strategies to share.

“Pakistan wants peace and we have taken concrete steps for it,” he said and added the vivid proof was seen yesterday where the world witnessed their peace initiative of the opening of the Kartarpur Border.

He said: “Under the leadership of PM Imran Khan, we have taken the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project a step further," adding that rather than just infrastructural development, the CPEC is now focused on human development.

We will provide livelihoods and more to people, he vowed.
