Interior Ministry Formally Reinstate IGP Islamabad Jan Mohammad
Interior ministry on Tuesday issued a notification to formally reinstate Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IG) Jan Mohammad after Supreme Court’s (SC) verdict on suo motu notice.

As per details acquired, Jan Mohammad who is in Malaysia will return on November 2 and resume his duties.

Earlier yesterday, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar took a suo motu notice of transfer of Islamabad IG on ‘verbal orders’ of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.

Expressing exasperation over political meddling, CJP declared transfer of Jan Mohammad as Islamabad IG null and void and direct interior ministry to immediately reinstate Mohammad as Islamabad IG.

As the hearing went underway, Attorney General (AG) told the apex court tha Jan Mohammad was transferred on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s verbal orders. To this, CJP wondered that a high-ranked police official was transferred merely on verbal orders of PM Khan.

It is pertinent here to mention that Islamabad IG was transferred over not picking telephone of Federal Minister for Science and Technology Azam Khan Swati. The minister alleged that he called the high-ranked police official for 22 hours but latter did not bother to pick his phone.

State cannot recover from fiscal crisis without bailout: Asad Umar
Finance Minister Asad Umar on Tuesday defended the government's strategy to seek loans from multiple sources instead of asking the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to plug the entire gap in the country's financing needs.

Former speaker and PML-N leader Ayaz Sadiq had recently asked the government to take the parliament into confidence over the government's recent negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), China and Saudi Arabia.

The finance minister today paid a visit to the lower house, where he explained to his fellow parliamentarians that the government approached friendly countries as well as the IMF for help so as to not be dependent on any single source.

"When we went to Saudi Arabia we signed a $3 billion deal," he said. "Naveed Qamar has stayed in the IMF programme, Ishaq Dar is not here but he must also know that all the money does not come from the IMF."

Complaints lodged against 'uncooperative' Islamabad IGP prior to his transfer: Fawad

Complaints lodged against 'uncooperative' Islamabad IGP prior to his transfer: Fawad
Information Minister Fawad Chauhdry on Tuesday said inspector generals of police (IGPs) are answerable to the prime minister and chief minister and the premier has executive powers which he will use.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad, the information minister commented on the transfer of Islamabad Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Jan Muhammad and asked, “How is it possible that an IGP does not answer a federal minister’s phone call?”

“It is not acceptable that chief secretaries and IGPs do not answer their phones,” he said. “The matter regarding not answering phone calls is not an issue of the government and opposition,” the information minister added.

Stating that the IGPs are answerable to the prime minister and the chief minister of the respective province, Chaudhry said, “A narrative is being spread that if officers do not receive phone calls they will become heroes.”

Chaudhry further said, “During our rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, police officers were transferred following complaints.”

“The prime minister and chief minister have executive powers which they will use,” the information minister asserted. “It is not possible that IGPs, deputy commissioners or others are not answerable to the premier.”

Further, he said, “We respect the Supreme Court and will accept whatever they decide.”

Chaudhry’s comments came a day after the Supreme Court of Pakistan suspended a notification regarding the transfer of Islamabad IGP after officials said he was transferred on the verbal orders of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The Supreme Court on Monday was hearing the case of the Islamabad IGP's transfer after Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar took suo motu notice.

IGP Muhammad was transferred on October 27 after he allegedly refused action on a complaint by Federal Minister Senator Azam Khan Swati's son regarding an incident at the farmhouse which, the minister claims, led to three of his employees being injured.

This $9 Brush Takes the Pain Out of Detangling Wet Hair

This $9 Brush Takes the Pain Out of Detangling Wet Hair

What is worse than getting out of the shower and having to spend 10 minutes painfully yanking through the snarly bird's nest on your head? Nothing. The answer is nothing. (OK, some things, but practically nothing.) I have long, thick, hard-to-manage locks, so this is a particularly sensitive topic for me. But I've found the fix: the Wet Brush.

Actually, my best friend found it. While visiting me last weekend, she got all excited and skipped over to her suitcase because she had "a surprise you're going to love!" She then unveiled the most underwhelming pink, plastic hair brush I've ever seen. I was too quick to judge its basic appearance because this thing lived up to its name. The detangling brush could comb through my knotted post-shower strands very quickly and without tugging on my scalp, leaving my hair silky smooth. It also worked just as well working through my dry bed-head hair the next morning. The power lies in the thin, "IntelliFlex" bristles that can bend and wiggle through tangles without tugging or causing damage.

I bought my own immediately (it's only $9 on amazon.com), and I now notice an obvious difference when I happen to pick up my icky, evil old brush. Another hack? Use it in the shower with conditioner for an even silkier mane when you blow dry. Moms out there, this beauty steal could be a lifesaver for anyone who struggles combing their child's hair sans tears.

The Wet Brush comes in a few different shapes and sizes, including a full-size paddle option ($10; amazon.com), as well as a Wet Brush "Squirt" ($7; amazon.com) that is adorable and mini and perfect for your purse or gym bag. You're welcome!

Does Dry Brushing Really Reduce Cellulite and Help You Look Younger?

Does Dry Brushing Really Reduce Cellulite and Help You Look Younger?

[brightcove:5474328532001 default]

There's always a new skin trend popping up rumored to vanish wrinkles, smooth dimples and zap cellulite. But most turn out to be temporary tricks and, more often than not, too good to be true. Cue dry brushing—is it really worth the hype?

Dry brushing, as the term suggests, quite literally entails brushing your bare skin—thighs, butt, arms, you name it—with a soft-bristled brush in order to give skin a fresher, smoother appearance. While there is scant scientific research to back up claims that it cures cellulite, it has some cosmetic benefits, explains Mona Gohara, MD, a dermatologist at the Yale School of Medicine—although they are fleeting at best.

The motion improves circulation and helps flush waste and toxins by stimulating the lymphatic system, explains Dr. Gohara, who is also a fellow of American Academy of Dermatology. "Doing all of that can certainly parlay into skin radiance and glow and a plumper appearance."

Another power of dry brushing is the element of exfoliation, she adds. While exfoliating "won't shave off 20 years," Dr. Gohara says, it helps remove dry, dead skin cells and makes your derm more susceptible to moisture and hydration. "Exfoliation really is a tenant of healthy, younger-looking skin."

How to dry brush properly

Using a brush made with natural, ultra-fine bristles, run the brush over your bare skin in gentle, circular motions. It's best to do it before you shower; both your skin and the brush should be dry. "I generally recommend doing it once a week, one pass per body part," Dr. Gohara adds.

The brush makes all the difference; stiff or synthetic bristles can cause irritation or even microscopic cuts. "You should use a brush that would be safe even on a baby's skin," Dr. Gohara recommends.

You should avoid dry brushing if you have very sensitive skin, acne, or a condition like rosacea or eczema. "There's a good chance any type of sensitive skin will react to this type of stimulation," she says.

You may notice plump, fresh skin for a couple of hours. "Think about it," Dr. Gohara explains, "when we go for a jog, our hearts are pumping blood to our organs, our face gets flushed, and then it fades away. Or imagine what happens when you pinch your cheeks."

The bottom line: Dry brushing can act as a short-lived fix to energize your skin. But is it a permanent anti-aging solution for all lumps and bumps? "Absolutely not," she says. "All of us would be scrubbing ourselves with brushes constantly, every day."
